The Health Committee at Raqqa Civil Council yesterday and under the supervision of the Justice Committee destroyed a quantity of expired drugs worth approximately 10 million SP.
Dr. Ahmed Faraj Al-Shuaib, the supervisor of the destruction operation, said: “We have been bringing medicines from the field hospitals and the National Hospital in Raqqa for about two months. We have been holding medicines for civilians during their control of Raqqa city.
In the first phase we took out the good medicines from among those drugs and then they were placed in the central pharmacy in Ain Issa to be sold to the martyrs’ families at an appropriate price, where 40% of the price was determined for the families of martyrs.
In the second phase, expired medicines were destroyed outside the city of Ain Issa
In conclusion, Dr. Al-Shoaib stressed that we are continuing our work firmly despite the difficulties we face.
