The Legislative Council of Raqqa Civil Council held a meeting on discussing the draft rules of procedure for the duty of self-defense in the presence of all committees and members of the Legislative Council, including elders and dignitaries, including symbols of the sons of Raqqa city.
The meeting began with a minute of silence for the souls of shahid followed by reading the draft rules of procedure by the self-defense committee and then opening the discussion.
Khalid Barkal, member of the joint presidency of the Legislative Council of Raqqa Civil Council, said: “We also informed you that this meeting to discuss the subject of the rules of procedure of the Committee for Self-Defense and Public Protection and the law of the duty of self-defense for discussion and ratification, and today we through the ratification of this law we have represented and defended our right The natural participation of our children in the duty of self-defense.
Sheikh Amir Al-Khabour, sheikh of Al-Bareij tribe, said: “Today we came out of the meeting and the result was the ratification of the internal system of self-protection and self-defense. It is a national duty for all Syrians in Syria, especially in the Syrian north. International difficulties and terror. We, as the people of the North of Syria and the people of
Raqqa, must direct our children to engage in the duty of self-defense to protect their land.
The meeting ended with discussions between the Self-Defense Committee and members of the Legislative Council. The vote was passed and the draft internal rules of self-protection were approved.
