Raqqa – Under the slogan “Health and Safety Are Our Goal” The first conference of the Union of Nurses and Medical Professions was held today in Raqqa, which aims to make some changes in the rules of procedure and to form a founding council for the nurses` syndicate.
In the presence of the members of the Health Committee, members of the Civil Council of Raqqa, Civil Society Institutions and a number of nurses, the conference began with a minute of silence in the memory of martyrs` lives.A member of the Civil Society Institutions, Majid Abdi delivered a speech. He talked about the health situation in Raqqa city and the public and private hospitals which were partially destroyed.
He added that all the committees of the civil council of Raqqa are working to repair those buildings and hospitals.A member of the Syndicate of nurses, “Askar Ahmed al-Askar,” confirmed the development of the health sector, where he said: The goal of the conference is to read the rules of procedure by nurses and make the necessary changes.
A foundation council and committees of the syndicate were formed to raise the level of the nursing profession.
