Tabqa – Under the slogan “Art Sea and the Freedom of the Young Woman” – the Union of Young Women organized a festival in Tabqa city on the occasion of the anniversary of the revolution of 19 July, the festival carried the name of the martyr Stirvan.
The festival, which was organized on the Euphrates beach in Tabqa city near the archaeological site of Ja’bar and hundreds of people from all parts of northern and eastern Syria attended it.
The co-chair of the Legislative Council of the Civil Council of Tabqa Roshan Hami delivered the opening speech, in which she congratulated the youth on the anniversary of the July 19 revolution in the north and east of Syria. She appealed to all women of the world to expand women’s participation in community management and to organize themselves and take their place in all fields of Life.
Followed by a variety of artistic performances presented by the heritage, culture and art group in Raqqa city, and a folkloric presentation presented by members of the Young Women’s Union in Tabqa, in addition to several other presentations by the participating teams from the regions of Euphrates.
The festival included an exhibition of paintings and the distribution of cultural books about the life of young women, a review of horseback riding and the popular Arab food, and a basketball game was attended by two teams for girls.
It worth mentioning that this activity is part of a series of festivals organized by the Young Women’s Union, which will end in Kamishlo on 19 July 2019.
