Raqqa – The Syrian Foundation for Sustainable Development, in cooperation with the People’s Municipality in Raqqa, opened on Thursday the park of Martyr Jawad Anzour. The ceremony was attended by a number of members of Raqqa Civil Council and the People’s Municipality in the city.
The Director in charge of rehabilitation of the park, engineer Khalid Al-Abbou noted that the maintenance work included the removal of dry grasses and planting new trees, paving the ground and painting of seats, and putting sprinklers for watering trees and grass, in addition to equipping of the garden with small garbage containers and games for children.
Al-Abbou noted that the outer wall of the park was painted and decorated with murals of artists who came from the city of Afrin to draw the smile on the faces of the children of Raqqa.
He added that the purpose of opening the garden is to restore its beautiful splendor, to return as it was previously a destination for the residents and children, which was a destination for the people in the city after Al Rashid park.
It worth mentioning that the opening ribbon was cut by a child in the garden.
