An entertainment activity for people with special needs (handicap) in Raqqa
Raqqa – Under the title “Smiling Make Hope” The handicap Office of the Raqqa’s Civil Council organized on Monday an entertainment activity for children with special needs at the Center of Culture and Art.
The members of local councils and civil institutions and a large gathering of residents of Raqqa city attended the celebration.
Amira Al Hassan, head of the handicap office, delivered a speech welcoming the attendees and said: “We held this celebration to give children a strong will to live.”
She pointed out that humanitarian aid, holding competitions, and others should be provided with the necessary support. She stressed the need for humanitarian organizations to target them and pay attention to every person who lost part of his/her body because of the wars which the region witnessed.
Sara Mohammed, a girl with special needs, was delighted with the activity, which earned her a strong will to express her thoughts.
The event included performances and musicals presented by the participating children.
In the end, the Civil Council of Raqqa presented gifts for children, such as toys and school notebooks.
