Tabqa – The administration of Al-Mahmoudli camp in the north of Tabqa city received 129 displaced families from Al-Rukban camp, which is located on the Syrian-Jordanian border where the situation of humanitarian and service conditions is very deteriorating there.
IDPs from Al-Rukban camp have been arriving in Al-Mahmoudli since more than a month and displacement is still continuing today.
Fayez Matar Al-Mukhlif, a displaced person from Al-Rukban camp who arrived last week, explained the reasons behind their displacement to Al-Mahmoudli camp. Now we and our families in Al-Mahmoudli camp and the services provided here are much better than we were before. ”
The director of Al-Mahmudli camp, Nashmi Al-Rahbi, said that they have been witnessing an intensive arrival of displaced people from Rukban camp, and they are verifying their personal identity before accepting them.
He added that they are providing all the necessary relief items for the displaced families, such as household items and health care.
It worth mentioning that Al-Mahmoudli camp is new and currently has 1,500 families and can accommodate more families.
