Tabqa- In cooperation with Health Committee and Fire Brigade, the Committee of Local Administration and Municipalities launched on Sunday a sterilization campaign for the city’s neighborhoods, as one of the precautionary measures taken by the Autonomous Administration to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
In the first stage, it targets the neighborhoods and the public places to include the countryside. They started cleaning the city’s streets, sidewalks and shops and after that, they started sterilization.
Mohammad Shaker Al Hoshan, the co-chair of the Hygiene department in the municipality pointed out that the sterilization teams are equipped with needed materials and cleaning machines like water tanks and firefighters.
He added that the campaign will continue until the completion of all the city and country streets. After finishing the sterilization of the institutions and the directorates of the Civil Administration.
Note that these measures coincide with the decision issued by the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria, in which it imposed a 15-days curfew in the regions of NE Syria starting on March 23, 2020, and which can be extended if necessary, as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus, which is categorized by the World Health Organization as a pandemic.
