Administrative division of Afrin
According to the administrative division of the Democratic Federalism of the Northern Syria, the federalism consists of three cantons (Al-Jazeera / Afrin / Al-Furat).
The administrative division was carried out in accordance with the specificity of each region, ending the routine and bureaucracy established by the central system, and making administrative units at all levels directly responsible for the services, economy and culture, in addition to all aspects of interest to the citizens within their administrative boundaries.
So, Afrin was divided into 10 main townships.
The township is a part of region, which is not less than 15000 inhabitants, and the center may be a city or town.
Afrin was divided as follows:
Afrin consists of two provinces, Afrin and Shahba.
1 ) Afrin province:
The Afrin province consists of three regions: Afrin, Jenderes, Raju.
Afrin region:
It consists of the city center of Afrin, towns, villages and farms, in addition to the following townships:
1 – Shirawa.
2 – Mabata.
3 – Sharan.
4 – Medanka.
Jenders region:
It consists of the city center of Jenders, towns, villages and farms, in addition to Sheh township.
Raju region:
It consists of the city center of Raju, towns, villages and farms, in addition to the following townships:
1 – Belbleh.
2 – Medana.
3- Bahdina.
2 ) Al-Shahba province:
Al-Shahba consists of Tal Rifat, in addition to three regions.
Tal Rifat region
It consists of its center, villages and farms, as well as the following:
1-Ahraz.
2 – Favin.
3 – Kafrnaya.
