Among the tasks assigned to Syria’s democratic forces are the preservation of the safety of civilians, where groups formed from the middle of the Syrian democratic forces have been established to liberate civilians and open safe corridors for them. In Nizla Shehadeh, south of the city, a group of civilians tried to reach the points liberated by our forces with a landmine planted by a mercenary in the neighborhood, killing a number of civilians and injuring eight others, including two women. Immediately, the Special Forces for the Liberation of Civilians of the Syrian Democratic Forces intervened, liberated 264 civilians and transported the wounded to hospitals for treatment, while two of the wounded were reported to be in critical condition. Special teams were also able to retrieve the bodies of civilian victims who lost their lives due to mines. During the process of liberating civilians, Syrian Democratic Forces fighters were wounded.
