The Office of Organizations and Humanitarian Affairs in the Civil Council of Raqqa expanded the kitchen of the old Camp of Ain Issa after equipment and continuous work for about a month by expanding the kitchen of the Camp and operating alternative burners working on liquid kerosene instead of ordinary kerosene cylinders, in order to speed up the process of catering to the people of the Camp and increasing the amount of food for the displaced and not delaying about mealtimes.
The inauguration was attended by the joint presidency of the Executive Council ,Laila Mustafa and Abdul Hamid Al-Muhbash , members of Civil Council of Raqqa , the Council of the Democratic Syria, and a delegation from the International Coalition and the camp administration, as well as representatives of the UNHCR.
61 staff work in the kitchen and they prepare 8 tons a day and 7000 bread packages for 17,500 displaced persons. For ease of operation, two cars were served by the Council to distribute food to the tents.
The head of the organization’s office, Abdel Salam Ham Sork said that the Council of Raqqa expanded the kitchen and supplied it with four large burners. Ham Sork pointed out that the costs of setting up the kitchen were provided by the Civil Council of Raqqa and that a number of residents of Raqqa are providing meals for the kitchen.
