Within of the second phase of resistance of age in Afrin region, and in retaliation for two of our martyrs who were martyred in Baia village on 8 August by mercenaries, our units carried out during the night of the twenty-ninth of August a series of military operations against the mercenaries of Turkish state in Baia village and Kafr Nebo of Sherawa district led to the killing of a number of mercenaries and the destruction of their military vehicles.
On the night of the 29th, at one o’clock, our fighters infiltrated one of the points of centralize of the Hamzah mercenaries in Baia village and clashed with the mercenaries’ face to face. Ten mercenaries were killed in the operation while two escaped. Our fighters also seized two Kalashnikovs, they detonated a motorcycle belonging to mercenaries.
On the same night, at 3:30 pm, while the mercenaries were trying to mobilize in the area, our fighters detonated an explosive device under control by a military vehicle belonging to them. The vehicle was completely destroyed and five mercenaries were killed. The mercenaries then carried out a large-scale combing operation in villages Baia Kefr Nebo, burj Haider, Barada, where the campaign ended without results.
On the morning of the 29th, at 6:30 am, our fighters detonated two explosive devices with two Toyota military vehicles on the road between Baia and Kafr Nebo villages, where the two vehicles were blown up, four mercenaries were killed and several wounded.
The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries were bombarded with mortars and heavy weapons, Bashmera al- Kabira (Gundê mezin) villages, Turkish reconnaissance planes flew over the area for a full day
As a result of the successful military operation of our fighters, 19 mercenaries were confirmed dead, several wounded, in addition to the destruction of three military vehicles and a motorcycle belonging to mercenaries, and two Kalashnikovs were seized.
