Basma Amal Kindergarten completes the reception of the children of Mansoura town of Tabqa city, after it was opened by the town reconstruction committee.
Adnan Aliyo, Head of the Basma Amal Kindergarten Center, tells us about the target groups: The Safe Childhood Center includes two categories: Children and Literacy. The first category includes children between 4-6 years old, and the second category includes youth between 8 and 18 years old.
The kindergarten program includes 80 students from Mansoura and its villages, and aims to requalify them psychologically as a result of the war and destruction that they have experienced. They depend on recreational activities such as drawing, music and theatrical activities. 4 teachers in Kindergarten program, 3 specialists in drawing, sports and music and 3 psychologists.
Aliyo spoke about the “Literacy” program, which includes 86 students, focusing on the Arabic language and mathematics in this program aimed to qualify the target age group and preparing to enter the school. Pointing out that the teachers who are supervising this category are University graduates.
It is worth to mention that the Center is currently working on a program of self-learning for a period of 6 months.
