The Democratic Islamic Society holds its first conference in Rumaylan town

Hasaka- under the slogan of “the revival of the Charter of Medina for building nations and the protection of human beings.” the first conference of the Democratic Islamic Society in North and East Syria was launched on Saturday morning at the Aram Tigran Center for Culture and Art in Rumaylan town.

scholars from all regions of northern and eastern Syria, representatives of the civil councils, the self-administration and co-governorship, as well as representatives of the military forces attended the conference.

The conference started with a minute of silence in the memory of the martyrs’ lives, followed by a reading of a Qur’anic surah.

Dalal Khalil, the co-chair of the Academy of Democratic Islam, welcomed the attendees and gave a speech in which she referred to the victories achieved by the Syrian democratic forces and defeating the terrorist organization ISIS that has spoiled the image of true Islam.Khalil emphasized that the principles of democracy and coexistence between the peoples of northern and eastern Syria are the basis of democratic Islam.After that Rezan Gulo, the military advisor to the Syrian democratic forces delivered a speech, in which he congratulated the conference organizers. He hoped that the conference will contribute to the realization of the values ​​of justice, equality, freedom and tolerance among all the components of North and East Syria, and achieve the big aim which is building a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized Syria. During the conference, a documentary film about the establishment of the Academy of Democratic Islam was presented, and they read messages of the congratulation for holding the conference.The conference is scheduled to continue for two consecutive days, during which the annual report and rules of procedure will be read and the co-chair of the conference, the committees and councils will be elected.
