Tabqa-The Council of Martyrs’ Families organized today on May 18, Martyrs’ Day, commemorate ceremonies and light candles on the martyrs’ shrines, promising to continue their struggle and follow their footstep until achieving their goals in building free society and life.
The leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the civil administration of Tabqa city with its various committees and institutions, the families of the martyrs and a number of Tabqa residents attended the commemoration ceremony.
The ceremony began with a minute of silence in the memory of the martyrs’ lives, after that the martyrs’ families light candles in front of their children’s pictures.
The co-chair of the Executive Council of the civil Council of Tabqa “Hind Al Ali” delivered a speech in which she talked about the sacrifices made by martyrs to defend their land and their people and lost their lives to guarantee a free life, free from injustice and slavery.
Al-Ali added that the victory achieved recently was due to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the heroines of the Syrian Democratic Forces fighters. she also pointed that comrades of the martyrs are committed to the promise they gave until the elimination of the last terrorist cells.
