Honoring 75 Students in The Opening of Hussein Jaheid School

Raqqa – The Committee of Education and Teaching opened today, Monday, with a ceremony Hussein Jaheid primary school in Romaniyeh neighborhood, after finishing its rehabilitation.

Administrators, members of the Legislative and Civil Councils, the co-presidency of the committee and the families of the students attended the ceremony.

The administration of the school honored 75 outstanding students who excelled during the first semester. The ceremony included with children’s theatrical performances and popular dances expressing joy and happiness due to the opening of the school.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence in the memory of the martyrs’ lives. After that, the spokesperson of the Activities Office of the Education Committee, Youssef El Gadro, delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness with the opening of the school, and he wished that it would be a blessed step through which they can guarantee a prosperous and honorable future for the students, stressing that the educational and administrative staff are keen to make tremendous efforts to fulfill their tasks and to deliver their educational and scientific messages.

In his speech, he noted that classrooms generate knowledge, enhance talent and draw future features, and conclude saying to the students: “persevere in your study and be proud of yourself among your colleagues and your families, you are our future”.

In his turn, the school’s spokesperson, Kamel Affara, indicated that they were facing many difficulties during their work in the dwellings that were temporary alternatives to the school and the students were deprived of their activities and are now happy after the opening of their school.

The opening was concluded by cutting the ribbon by the co-chair of the committee, Khalaf Al Matar, amid the happiness of the attendees.
