Over the past three days of the Daesh planned terrorist attack on the al-Sina’a/Geweran prison that aimed at controlling the prison and setting free the terrorist detainees, the main obstacle our forces faced was the using of the 700-child of the so-called “the Caliphate Cubs” of Daesh as a human shield by the terrorist mutineers. The children used to be kept in special separated dormitories inside the prison to be rehabilitated. The SDF hold the terrorists accountable in case the children got hurt.
The SDF calls upon the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross to intervene to exclude the children, not to be used in the military operations of Daesh, and to hand them over to the SDF.
