To media and public opinion:
A few days ago, we announced to our people and the public that 11 of our fighters were martyred, showing magnificent heroism in the Peoples’ Hammer operation against the attacks of the Daesh terrorists on al-Hasaka prison on January 20.
The Turkish occupation state directly supported these Daesh terrorist attacks on the al-Hasaka prison that holds approximately 5,000 Daesh detainees in an attempt to set them free, took control of the al-Hasaka city at first, and then expanded their control over the entire area run by our forces. So, it planned and put in action through this attack. The resistance began at night on January 20 and ended on January 26, coinciding with the seventh anniversary of the liberation of Kobane and its countryside. The history repeats itself this time, and the occupation has hammered once again by our forces.
The resistance and the struggle of the freedom fighters in the “Hammer of Peoples” operation opened a new page in history. Between January 20 and 26, our fighters foiled the scheme of the Turkish occupation state that used the Daesh terrorist organization. Although the operation duration was relatively short, it paid great results for our region and the world at large. The martyrs of the “Hammer of Peoples” operation once again spared the world and humanity grand threats and risks. The resistance of our fighters has proved that the fight against the Daesh terrorist organization is vital to the security and stability of our regions and the world.
The “Hammer of peoples” operation has been culminated with a victory due to our fighters who fought, from day one, with a guerrilla spirit and super-heroism that ensured the security and stability of the region. Once again, in the Peoples’ Hammer operation, our martyrs did not allow the darkness to hang over the region. So, that is why they took a prominent and distinctive place in our struggle and striving.
Through the martyrs of the “Peoples’ Hammer” operation, we recall with all due respect and reverence all of our martyrs who have dedicated themselves to liberating their people. These martyrs will be immortal in the memory and heart of our people, and we reiterate the promise to make their struggle for freedom culminated with victory.
