Martyr Ahmed al-Ali Academy opened, on April 11, the ninth session of self-defense in the Raqqa city. The session entitled martyr Ali Sher Raqqa included 296 fighters from different regions of the north and eastern Syria, and it will last for two months, during which the fighters will receive political lectures and military training on various types of weapons.
The opening ceremony was attended by military leaders, fighters’ families, and tribal leaders.
The opening ceremony began with a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs, followed by a military parade presented by the fighters, then Samira Al-Ahmad, a leader in the Self-defence, delivered a speech in which she congratulated the new fighters and welcomed the attendees.
The opening ceremony concluded with the performing of the military oath by the fighters.
