Martyr Ahmed Al-Ali Academy of Self-Defense graduates the tenth course

On September 28th, the Academy of Martyr Ahmed Al-Ali of the Self-Defense Forces graduated the tenth course in the city of Raqqa. The course was named after the martyr “Kendal Rojava”, and included 216 fighters from all regions of NE Syria and lasted for two months, during which the fighters received political lessons and military training.

The graduation ceremony was attended by leaders from the SDF, members of civil institutions, sheiks, and dignitaries of the Raqqa clans.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence in tribute to the souls of the martyrs, followed by a military parade performed by the graduated fighters. Then, the co-chair of the Self-Defense Office in Raqqa, Samira Ahmed, delivered a speech, congratulating the fighters for completing the training course and stressing that after the liberation of many areas in NE Syria by the SDF, the situation has escalated and the Turkish occupation threats have been increased against the region, aiming at occupying more territories.

“To confront these repeated threats and attacks, we should improve the combat capacity of our fighters and raise the military system according to high-level academic foundations,” she added.

The graduation ceremony concluded with the fighters taking the military oath.
