In parallel with Operation al-Jazeera Thunderbolt, our SDF Special Forces arrested a former ISIS leader in the Hitteen Farm, northern countryside of Raqqa.
Enabled by the coalition’s aerial support, our forces raided the house where the terrorist was hiding, arresting him and confiscating documents and papers proofing his links to ISIS active and sleeper cells in the region.
The arrested terrorist was a former ISIS leader, and he was in charge of the so-called Bayt al-mal (the house of money) in the Deir Ezzor area.
Our SDF forces and the international coalition forces continue the anti-ISIS operations in the region to achieve the lasting defeat of ISIS and maintain safety and security in the NE Syria regions.
