Nine Turkish-Backed Mercenaries Neutralized And Eleven Others Injured In Foiled Attacks On Manbij Countryside

Coinciding with Operation Security Reinforcement launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces in the Deir Ezzor countryside, the northern and western countryside of Manbij has been subjected to intense attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries for several days, From yesterday until the early hours of this Thursday, Turkish-backed mercenaries have launched a series of attacks along the Sajur Line, targeting with heavy weaponry the civilian homes and military positions of our forces, the Military Council of Manbij, with a particular focus on the village of “Arab Hasan.”

However, our fighters successfully thwarted all attacks, inflicting significant losses on the mercenaries. At least nine mercenaries were killed, and eleven others were injured. Our forces also seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition, while the remaining mercenaries fled. We pledge to our people to retaliate and counter the aggressions of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to the full extent of our capabilities. Furthermore, we reiterate our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our territories, upholding their security and stability, and repelling all attacks launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries seek to provide support to ISIS terrorists who appear to the public wearing ISIS badges in the attacks on Manbij. They also aim to impede the SDF Operation Security Reinforcement by initiating assaults in areas of contact with our forces and SDF in Manbij, Ain Issa, Tal Tamir, and Zarkan. However, all attacks have been thwarted, and the occupation and its mercenaries have made no progress, but rather inflicting significant losses upon them.
