Joint Anti-ISIS Operation | An ISIS Terrorist Cell Dismantled in Deir Ezzor countryside

Within the framework of our joint Anti-ISIS operations, our SDF anti-terrorism units (YAT) participated alongside the international coalition in a precise security operation targeting an ISIS terrorist cell in the Al-Shahil town, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

After meticulous monitoring, the participating forces executed an airdrop and raided the hideout of the terrorist operatives, apprehending seven individuals involved in carrying out multiple terrorist acts against both our forces and civilians in the region. This terrorist cell was actively involved in supplying weapons and ammunition to other cells in the region, as well as providing financial support. Additionally, they exploited the events that transpired in the Deir Ezzor countryside last month to carry out their terrorist activities.

Various weapons, military equipment and documents were confiscated during the operation.

Our forces affirm their unwavering commitment to relentlessly pursue ISIS cells and to cut off their sources of support in the region, all in the pursuit of maintaining security and stability in our area.
