Our SDF Military Council’s Regular Meeting | Assessment of the Past Three Months Activities

In light of the political and military developments in the Syrian, regional, and international arena, our SDF Military Council convened its regular meeting in full attendance. The meeting was attended by the SDF Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, along with leaders from all military councils and factions, as well as officials and members of military offices and institutions.

During the meeting, an evaluation was conducted on the performance of our forces over the past three months. This included a thorough examination of reports submitted by various military forces and institutions.

The meeting also delved into current field and military developments, with a particular focus on the recent attacks by the Turkish occupation state on our areas.

These attacks, which targeted infrastructure, service institutions, and civilians, were extensively examined to assess the widespread damage caused. The meeting dedicated considerable time to discussing measures aimed at preventing the recurrence of such attacks and strategizing on actions to counteract them effectively.

The meeting also addressed the attempts of the Turkish occupation state to capitalize on the ongoing conflict in Gaza between Hamas and Israel for its own interests. It discussed how Turkey sought to exploit the world’s focus on that conflict to intensify its aggressive attacks on our areas, specifically targeting infrastructure. This led to an escalation in the frequency of attacks on our regions.

In a related discussion, the meeting addressed recent attacks initiated by the Syrian regime and its allies in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. It emphasized the Syrian regime’s role in the recent events in the Deir Ezzor countryside, highlighting its involvement by deploying armed groups to our areas with the aim of causing discord and chaos. The meeting also recognized the success of Operation Security Reinforcement launched by our forces in achieving its planned objectives. A warning was issued against ongoing efforts by the regime’s security services to perpetuate strife.

The meeting also addressed the repercussions of the conflict in Gaza between Hamas and Israel on Syria in a broader context. It specifically explored the potential impact on the northern and eastern regions of Syria. The meeting underscored the SDF’s stance against the targeting of civilians by any party and advocated for the resolution of crises and problems through dialogue.

Furthermore, the meeting emphasized the importance of preventing the northern and eastern regions of Syria from becoming a battleground for conflicts and settling scores between regional and international powers.

The meeting extensively addressed the preparedness and readiness of our forces for any potential conflict. It delved into the assessment of their military capabilities and the performance of their fighters. A significant portion of the discussion focused on the Deir Ezzor Military Council, including an in-depth analysis of its current situation.

All decisions made by the SDF General Command regarding the Deir Ezzor Military Council were formally endorsed by the General Military Council of our forces. This included the decision to restructure the Deir Ezzor Military Council.

Towards the conclusion of the meeting, a future action plan was formulated for the forces in general. The aim is to enhance their readiness to operate effectively in various circumstances, addressing all possible scenarios. Special attention is given to ensuring constant preparedness in the face of potential attacks on our areas, particularly from hostile entities such as ISIS and the Turkish regime.
