Anti-ISIS Operation | Our Forces Dismantle an ISIS Terrorist Cell in al-Hasakah
In a precise and targeted security operation, our SDF’s Military Operations Teams (TOL) successfully dismantled a dangerous ISIS cell in the city of al-Hasakah, thwarting their plans to carry out terrorist attacks.
On August 14th, after gathering sufficient intelligence on four terrorists including a woman, our forces raided their hideouts in the Nashwa and Gweran neighborhoods in al-Hasakah city. The operation resulted in the capture of the four terrorists Ahmed Jalal Abdul Ghani, alias Abu Jalal, Ali Muhammad Musa, alias Abu al-Tayyib, both from Aleppo; Omar Hamid al-Isa, alias Abu Layth, from Deir Ezzor; and Noor Muhammad Musa, alias Um Islam, from Aleppo and she is a member in the terrorist cell.
The dismantled terrorist cell had been gathering intelligence on our forces’ positions and bases, particularly those surrounding the al-Sina’a Prison in the Gweran neighborhood. During the operation, our forces seized a quantity of explosives and detonation devices, which the cell had planned to use in terrorist attacks against military checkpoints and civilian infrastructure.
Our SDF forces reaffirm their commitment to pursuing the remnants of ISIS and eradicating their terrorist cells. Our operations will continue relentlessly to dismantle their networks, dry up their financial resources, and uproot them completely.
