The Ancient Castle of Ja’abar: a Witness to our SDF Epics against Terrorism

The historic Ja’abar Castle, a testament to our Syrian Democratic Forces’ triumph over terrorism, stands as a symbol of freedom and rebirth. Once a desolate landscape marred by the atrocities of ISIS, the castle’s natural beauty and cultural heritage have been restored through the unwavering efforts of our forces.
In late 2016 and early 2017, our Syrian Democratic Forces launched a campaign to liberate Ja’abar Castle and its surrounding villages from ISIS terrorism. With great sacrifice and courage, our fighters secured the region, ensuring the safety and freedom of its people. The memories of those days remain vivid in the minds of those who witnessed and participated in the liberation campaign, serving as a reminder of the bravery and determination of our forces.
While the village of Ja’abar bears the scars of war, our Syrian Democratic Forces have worked tirelessly to rebuild and restore it.
