Anti-ISIS Operations | An ISIS Terrorist Cell Dismantled in al-Hol Camp

Our SDF forces continue conducting security and counter-terrorism operations against the remnants of ISIS terrorist cells. These cells are attempting to take advantage of the recent attacks and aggressions by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in north and eastern Syria to resurge.

On October 29, our SDF Military Operation Teams (TOL) conducted a security operation in the al-Hol camp, targeting an ISIS terrorist cell.

Following a precise monitoring of the cell members and their activities, our forces successfully surrounded the cell’s hideout in the al-Hol camp and captured two terrorists, Khaled Mahmoud Ali, an Iraqi national from Haditha, Anbar; and Abdullah Jamal Khalaf, also an Iraqi national from Ramadi, Anbar.

Both terrorists joined ISIS in Iraq before infiltrating Syrian territory to carry out numerous terrorist attacks against our SDF forces, civilians, and Autonomous Administration institutions. They also operated within the al-Hol camp, forming a terrorist cell to smuggle ISIS families, provide financing, establish international connections, and indoctrinate others with extremist ideology.

Our SDF reaffirms its unwavering commitment to pursuing ISIS elements, regardless of circumstances, until achieving the enduring defeat of ISIS.
