Our SDF General Command Congratulates the Women’s Protection Center on the Headquarters Opening

 Our SDF General Command sent a congratulatory message to the Women’s Protection Center on the occasion of the opening of its central headquarters.

In the message, our SDF General Command extended its congratulations to all female fighters, commanders, and the people of Rojava. our SDF General Command emphasized that “the establishment of this center signifies the strength and organization of women fighters in Rojava.” Our SDF General Command expressed its confidence in the center’s potential, stating, “We are certain that this center will play a crucial role not only in the struggle and organization of women fighters but also in all public military activities in the north and eastern Syria.”

Our SDF General Command highlighted in its congratulatory message that “for nearly 14 years, we have endured a fierce war in Rojava and north and eastern Syria, a conflict that has claimed thousands of martyrs.” It emphasized that the ultimate goal of this struggle was “to protect our people and land from the genocidal plans of the enemy.” The message paid tribute to fallen comrades such as Zahra, Jayan, Sawsan, Zain, and Arin, who led this war, expressing pride in their sacrifices.

The message further stated, “Our struggle has paved the way for the freedom of our people and thwarted the enslavement schemes that the enemy sought to impose upon them.”

In conclusion, our SDF General Command extended its congratulations once more on the establishment of the Women’s Protection Center, commended the work accomplished thus far, and expressed hope that the Center would play a leading role in rebuilding and strengthening the protection forces in northern and eastern Syria.

Yesterday, the Central Headquarters for the Protection of Women was inaugurated in a solemn ceremony attended by the mothers and families of martyrs, leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Internal Security Forces, representatives of the Autonomous Administration, and various civil and military actors and institutions.

The opening of this center aligns with the decisions of the Fourth Congress of Women’s Protection Units. In a speech delivered at the opening ceremony, Rohlat Afrin, a member of the General Command of the Women’s Protection Units, extended congratulations on the center’s opening to the martyrs of the revolution and all the peoples of the region, particularly women. She emphasized that the center’s establishment is a direct implementation of the decisions made at the Fourth Congress of Women’s Protection Units.

Afrin highlighted the urgent need for women to organize themselves to counter all forms of occupation, violence, and oppression. She called upon women to unite around the principles of defense science, women’s philosophy, life, and freedom, and to strengthen themselves in all areas of defense.

 

Afrin further explained the role of the Central Headquarters for the Protection of Women, stating that it “undertakes protective tasks for all components of northern and eastern Syria, particularly women. To this end, the center organizes women under the umbrella of legitimate defense.” Regarding sharing their experiences with women in the Middle East and the world, she affirmed, “We will share our experiences and expertise with the women of the Middle East and the entire world, and we will intensify our struggle to safeguard the values and gains of the revolution, regardless of the cost.”

In concluding her speech, Rohlat Afrin called upon everyone to confront the internal and external attacks faced by the region, especially the escalating threats and attacks from mercenary groups like ISIS, Al-Nusra, and the Turkish occupation state. She emphasized the need to raise the state of readiness at all levels and practice legitimate resistance to ultimately achieve victory. Afrin urged all women and peoples to participate in the resistance fronts.
