The Health Committee of Deir-Ezzor Civil Council supported by the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria has begun today the rehabilitation of the al-Kasra hospital in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The co-chair of the Health Committee of Deir-Ezzor Civil Council Maryam Al-Awad stated that the estimated cost of rehabilitating is about 463,000 US dollars, pointing out that it is one of the largest hospitals in Deir-Ezzor and serves the areas of al-Saba’a Kilo, al-Ma’amal Roundabout, and the al-Jazira town, providing medical services to more than 400 thousand people.
Al-Awad confirmed that the hospital accommodates 400 beds, and includes two major and minor surgery rooms equipped with up-to-date medical devices and technologies. The hospital is divided into many medical departments including ambulance, incubators, digestive system, and dialysis.
The rehabilitation process will be completed by the end of 2023.
