On October 17th, our SDF’s Military Operations Teams TOL conducted a successful security operation in al-Hasaka city, targeting one of the ISIS operatives named Hamza Abdul Qader Saleh.
Based on Intelligence gathering, our forces raided where the terrorist Hamza was hiding and successfully captured him and seized a weapon and technical equipment (smartphones, mobile phones, and laptops), as well as personal documents.
The captured terrorist was active in the so-called “zakat” section within ISIS, extorting money from civilians, and using threats of terrorism to instill fear. The money he collected from these terrorist activities was funneled to support ISIS terrorist operations, including the ISIS families in camps and the terrorist cells.
Our forces reaffirm their unwavering commitment to dismantling ISIS’s financial networks and terrorist cells to safeguard the security and stability of the region.
