On Sunday, the people of Raqqa commemorated the seventh anniversary of their city’s liberation from the terrorism of ISIS. The Executive Council of Raqqa province organized a celebratory event attended by officials from the Autonomous Administration, commanders from the Syrian Democratic Forces, and representatives from the international coalition, along with members of civil and military institutions, religious figures, tribal leaders, and hundreds of Raqqa people.
The ceremony commenced with a moment of silence to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the city’s freedom. Several speeches were delivered, including a notable address by the leader of the Raqqa Military Council, Swar Raqqa. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of this anniversary at local, national, and global levels.
