The maintenance of the Euphrates dam continues

Dams are of vital importance because they are of great importance in regulating the flow of rivers and generating electricity and watering agricultural land, including dam Euphrates, which is the largest dam in Syria.

In a tour of the media center to the dam, Engineer Ali Al-Rawi, Director General of the Euphrates dam, and Diab Al-Musayyatf, director of the dams department, said that maintenance of the fifth group is now under way. This group will be the fourth turbine to be rehabilitated following the rehabilitation of the third and the eighth.

And after the successfully tests, we connected the third turbine power on the network and converted and linked to the dam Tishreen and generation of 100 megawatts and from there was distributed electricity to the areas of Manbij, Hasaka, Tel Abyad, Kobani, Ain Issa.

Over the next few days, dam management will complete its work and will be able to supply electricity to the local network and connect new groups to the network after completing the repair of the 20 cells in Network Switching Unit, If the local electricity network is ready, electricity will be supplied directly.

We are currently in the process of repairing the Euphrates Dam operation room after removing the mines and replacing the damaged pieces. We are experimenting with the readiness of this room to control the electricity and deal with it better, knowing that these rooms were sabotaged by terrorists.

The dam administration seeks to operate four groups in the dam to generate electricity and connect them to the grid to reach electricity to all citizens in liberated areas.
