The SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi sent a written message to Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi condemning the failed assassination attempt against him.
Abdi stressed that targeting Mr. Al-Kadhimi is targeting the values of democracy, stability, and security.
The letter reads: “We were relieved to learn that you were not hurt, and we hope that your agencies will be able to identify the perpetrators as soon as possible and bring them to justice.”
The Commander-in-Chief also reiterated to continue to stand alongside the Iraqi people and their State in its joint war against terrorism, expressing the SDF’s condemnation of the recent criminal act.
Abdi concluded his message by wishing Mr. Al-Kadhimi and the Iraqi people sustained stability and safety.
