Operation Al-Jazeera Thunderbolt continues against ISIS terrorist cells

For the fifth day in a row, the joint forces continue security inspection and sweep operations to hunt ISIS cells and destroy their hideouts in the al-Hol, Tal Brak, and Tal Hamis.
Yesterday in the villages of Samihan Gharbi and Ittah, west of Tal Brak countryside, the forces arrested three suspected logistical suppliers of ISIS cells, and the competent agencies started initial inspection and investigation to identify their identities.
In the al-Hol town, the forces raided hideouts and houses where terrorist cells and their collaborators were hiding, arresting 11 terrorists and suspects involved in various criminal acts, including those involved in smuggling ISIS families from the al-Hol camp and providing them with logistical support.
Operation Al-Jazeera Thunderbolt, launched on December 29, 2022, by our forces and with the participation of the Internal Security Forces and the International Coalition, aims to detect the enclaves of ISIS cells in the civilian homes and farms in the southern countryside of Qamishlo city and the al-Hasaka eastern countryside, where many attacks have taken place over the past period, targeting security forces, tribal elders and civil employees.
The operation also aims to prevent ISIS from reorganizing and taking advantage of the Turkish occupation attacks on NE Syria regions that witnessed escalated terrorist acts in conjunction with the Turkish occupation attacks.
